The Shepherd’s Center collects used books year-round. Bring YOUR used books (no magazines or encyclopedias cassette tapes or VHS tapes, please) to:

Dedicated volunteers sort and price books throughout the week to prepare for the annual book sale. Textbooks and other selected books are sold on the internet during the year to support our programs and services for older adults in the community. In this way, we are being good stewards of the donations made to us during the year.

About: The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem is an interfaith ministry that promotes and supports successful aging by providing direct services, volunteer opportunities, and enrichment programs for older adults. The Shepherd’s Center is certified as a Senior Center of Excellence through the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services and is a model “senior center without walls.” More than 7,000 older adults are served annually through the center’s programs and services.
