The Forsyth County Tourism Development Authority (FCTDA)/Visit Winston-Salem mission is to attract visitors to greater Winston-Salem for the economic benefit of Forsyth County and its citizens and promote our rich historic roots as a warm and welcoming destination.

Since the FCTDA/Visit Winston-Salem is funded by the occupancy tax generated by visitors staying overnight in Forsyth County hotels and lodging establishments, it imperative that resources are reinvested to bring new, incremental business to Forsyth County.

Out of market participant analysis is used to forecast potential impact on Forsyth County accommodations by Visit Winston-Salem staff. To be considered for Twice as Nice Funds, event organizers must communicate event details prior to occurrence to Visit Winston-Salem and provide data related to the origin of participants, event schedules/details, and any additional post-event reports within 30 days after the completion of the event. Visit Winston-Salem staff will incorporate event organizer provided data along with lodging reports to analyze event impact on Forsyth County accommodations and determine funding level.

Twice as Nice Funds are provided post event. To be eligible to receive Twice as Nice Funds, the event or event series (within one year) must meet a minimum of 250 room nights. Should the event be cancelled or relocated, funds are not eligible.
Book a new event or event series with 800 or more total hotel room nights and earn a $2,000 credit on behalf of Visit Winston-Salem to assist with event related costs.
Book a new event or event series with 500-799 total hotel room nights and earn a $1,500 credit on behalf of Visit Winston-Salem to assist with event related costs.
Book a new event with 250-499 total hotel room nights and earn a $500 credit on behalf of Visit Winston-Salem to assist with event related costs.
Please note a Twice as Nice Funds request submission does not guarantee funding. Twice as Nice Funds will be evaluated against established criteria and historic precedent and dispersed at the discretion of Visit Winston-Salem. The availability of designated funds and specific allocations will be dependent upon the number and extent of submissions.
