One bullet," examines the 1932 death of famed aviator Smith Reynolds, son of R.J. Reynolds. Was it suicide? An accident? Or was he murdered by his wife, Broadway star Libby Holman? See for yourself.

Bookmarks Festival
Saturday, Sept. 23
Held annually in downtown, Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors is known as the largest book festival in the Carolinas. The free festival brings dozens of the country's top authors together for a full day of discussions, signings, workshops, storytelling, and special events.

Carolina Classic Fair
Sept. 29 – Oct. 8
Celebrating 140 years, the Carolina Classic Fair is the second biggest fair in the state, averaging 325,000 visitors each fall. The 10-day event features carnival rides, live entertainment, crafts, agriculture displays, petting zoos, wine tastings, and plenty of tasty food.
